Tails_And_Legends

Sketch & Digital - Pencil, Paint Shop Pro X - Click Image to Enlarge

This is a work-in-progress: a hand-rendering of my RuneScape character, Kamahlia. So far I have the original sketch scanned in and a preliminary color layer added. Next comes some shading and then a LOT of smudge painting. I will be posting the final version on MyRuneEscape (link above) sometime in the [hopefully] near future.

I don't do non-cartoon people very often, but have been dabbling lately. SO there are likely a lot of technical
and proportion errors here, but hey, take practice, eh? ;-)

Emergency

"Sorry... we only put 'em out."

Horizon

A quick one this time after another dry spell. Most "drawings" I thought of had little to do with the word horizaon except that it may have been present in the pic, so I decided to just stick to some simple typography. Gonna have to add the past few weeks to the old make-up list. /:-P

Superstition

Digital: Vectors & Filters - Paint Shop Pro X - Click Image to Enlarge

I was originally planning to draw the full superhero, "SuperStition," but just ran out of time to invest -comic-style characters are NOT a strength for me. I even considered adding one of his villain rivals, "Dr. Triskaidekaphobian."

Once again Houdini earns his name.

Watercolor & Sharpie - Click Image to Enlarge

Since I already have a large list of makeup topics to post, I decided to combine last week's with this week's instead of making the list even longer.

This is also a bit different from the norm as there is minimal digital content. The original is on 11.5"x16" cardstock, sketched with a red pencil, lined with a Sharpie, then colored with watercolors. Since the paper was too big for the scanner, I had to scan it in two pieces. Reconnecting and a little histogram adjustment were the only digital part of it this week. (Oh, and I added the signature post-scan as well.)

Sorry about last week. Add it to the make-up list. /:-\
I'm hoping to post "Emergency" and "Missing" over the weekend...

The-Blues

...And without warning the fabric of space and time returned to its natural state and a post miraculously appeared on my blog...

Anyone think they can identify these "blue" parrots?

Been an exhausting, frustrating, demoralizing, depressing, miserable, insane, busy, oatmeal-brained, pathetic, (need I go on?) couple of months. I have missed 8 posts before this week's and I am actually planning to try to make it up. (I actually have a couple done now, but don't have time to post just yet... 3rd shifter now.)

Stop back over the next couple weeks and hopefully I can get some back-topics up here.

Sorry about the absence. It REALLY was an absence of mind, a literal mental breakdown of sorts... not fully recovered, but on the way (I hope).

Moon

Digital - Paint Shop Pro - Click Image to Enlarge

Since I missed last week, this one includes the "Poem" topic...

Mournful call; an eerie tune
Echo answers to the loon
Night is waning; daylight soon
So there it sits upon the moon
