80s
I've had a lot of fun ideas since last Friday for this topic but absolutely no time to invest. As I took a break today and decided I better get something up here to maintain my "perfect attendance," I tried to narrow the ideas to something that could be done quickly. The more I thought about the topic, the more depressed I felt. The 80s were my high school years ('87). Big dreams. Big plans. Big hair (my now-wife, that is :-). But the big mistakes outweighed all the big dreams.
If do-overs were offered, this is a decade I'd like to have back. Perhaps I would not be in the mess I am now. Nostolgia stinks sometimes.
Looking forward to happier posts next week... if there's time. I sure wish I could get back to visiting every post like I did the for the 1st 6 months. I miss the variety of interpretations.

cool haunting mood!
An interesting illustration and an interesting read. Sorry the 80s were not good to you! Do you look at other IF entries? I don't think I've ever seen a comment you've bothered to leave for anyone else. But I'm sure I've missed them.
So sorry the topic caused some blue feelings. But you got some good art out of it. The 70s were when I made my bad decisions. Hope we don't go there for an IF topic.
Scott's just missed your comments. You've been quite prolific in your comments around the IF clan.
Visiting and commenting on other entries is what I have missed the most in this community since things got so crazy here. I literally visited every entry from Sep-05 to early summer-06. Admittedly I may have spent TOO much time here at that point, but now I feel I can't spend ENOUGH interracting with this fun community. Probably 90% of my own posts in the past few months have been Tuesday night or later. I used to get in by Saturday on average.
"This, too, shall pass." I do hope to return to a more involved level ASAP. Thanks everyone for being patient and not kicking me out. /:-) The comments are very encouraging and I hate that I've been unable to take the time like I used to encouraginf others.
Maybe this week... (And I'll keep saying that 'till it happens!!)
BTW, I don't mean to imply that I was a "victim" of the 80s. It's just depressing looking back at your own ignorance and bad choices. As I mentioned, I orginally had several FUN ideas... they were mostly iconic --when I started thinking about my personal 80s experiences is when it went sour. But the period as a whole was full of fun stuff.
