"Here's what I want you to do:
Find a quiet, secluded place
so you won't be tempted to role-play before God.
Just be there as simply and honestly as you can manage.
The focus will shift from you to God,
and you will begin to sense his grace."

~Matthew 6:6 (MSG)

I love the mood of this picture. The mists and the still water illustrates "quiet" perfectly.

Very cool. Love the trees through the mist. You can feel the crisp early morning air here.

Seemingly simple at first, but beautifully nuanced. You really think things through! Really great.

I really studied the crane's (stork?) reflection to see if it was a modification of the 'real' one. I didn't think it matched exactly and reading your "Back to the Drawing Board" confirmed that. Reflections can be the element that comletes an illustration.
Here's one for you: Which wing is the nearest one? The bird seems to change directions as you consider it.

You have really captured a quiet place.
