Oh, this is nice - I like the whole idea - and the art work too.
This illo contains a story in it.
Very good.

The shadings are perfect! Is this all done through Paint Shop Pro? I wonder if this can be achieved using Photoshop as well? By the way, good job!

Beautiful and poingnant. I often dream of my father who passed away too soon for me. His words to me will always keep me going. He used to say that everyone would say "take care.." He prefered, "Take a Chance!" In other words, your lifetime here in limited, make the very best of it and your talents and gifts to others.

Great detail, colors and lighting... and I like your idea of putting text into a different blog. May have to incorporate that too, as I tend to get very wordy with my illustrations.

This is gorgeous, so enigmatic!

A great piece and the story, too. I love old things and I can almost smell the tickling dust from this picture. Want to look under the cloth.

i like the way your dad's chair is draped in dreamy shades of white...like an angel's robe.

Beautiful piece, actually...the drapery over the chair is a great, unexpected choice. You've got your techniques mastered.

Very nice effect. I really like how this one turned out and reading about the inspiration and the execution was quite nice as well.

The lighting is great. I especially like the soft glow around the chair.
